Seville is the capital of Andalusia, and in a certain way, also the heart of Andalusian culture, being centre of the Corrida (Bullfight) and the Flamenco. The city picture is characterised by the 800 years of Moorish domination. On the river Guadalquivir, which crosses through the city, you can go boating to the mouth of the Atlantic. The warm climate and the advantages of a large city give Seville its popularity. It was from Seville that "Juan" set out to conquer the hearts of the women in the world.

The largest old quarter in Europe. Virtually all the civilitations of the Mediterranean have left their mark here –at Italica, or with the Giralda, the Torre del Oro, the Alcázar, the Cathedral…. And that was just the lead-up to Spain’s Siglo de Oro –the Golden Century, when Seville was the hub of the Spanish Empire, famous the world over for splendour with which no other city could compare.
